George Lucas continues the Star Wars Saga in this animated version (in the style of The Thunderbirds).
As the Clone Wars sweep through the galaxy, the Jedi Knights struggle to maintain order and restore peace. Anakin and his Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano find themselves on a mission with far-reaching consequences. Count Dooku and his sinister agents, including the nefarious Asajj Ventress with stop at nothing to ensure they fail. Meanwhile on the front lines Obi-Wan and Yoda lead the massive clone army to resist the forces of the dark side.

I wonder how this works with the story that was done on the Cartoon Network where Ahsoka was not mentioned. The Cartoon Network story went all the way up to the start of Episode 3 so I wonder where this will fit in.

I think it happens during the clone wars throughout the animated series... probly between the first and second season, as Ventress is still evil and General Grievous doesnt seem to be built yet. idk

This was very disappointing. It clearly lacked the edginess of the Cartoon Network series. The story was so uninteresting. There was so much more that could have been done. I think Lucas needs to sit down and watch some anime like the Kenshin Trust/Betrayal OVA. I have no idea why Lucas wanted to make it look like the Thunderbirds. Helloooooo... This is about Anakins transition to the Dark Side. Asoka is such a great character. I can't see how Lucas keeps messing up with such a great franchise, and storyline.

Good post, yeah Lucas went on record saying that the Cartoon Network series is no longer in the Star Wars storyline. Which I feel is the best thing from the new trilogy. I also felt this film was a big disappointment, it was too "kid-ish". Animated series should take a page from "Hulk Vs." and "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm". These are animated projects that not only stay true to their roots, but help perpetuate the overall saga for old fans and attracting new fans.
