I'm surprised the concept of cube drafting hasn't been expanded over time. Just once I'd like to see a pyramid draft. Or maybe even a cylinder draft.

As a fun alternative to cube (though probably no where near as awesome) I'd like to suggest a format that some of the people up here in Cali have been playing. It's a form of highlander that they refer to as "general". Basically, you have to choose a legendary creature which is your general, and it starts the game RFG and you can play it at any time that you can legally play it during the game. Only catch is that your deck has to consist of cards that are only those colors and lands. Deck size is 100 cards and it's pretty fun to play.

Coolest deck I've seen so far is Garzah'zol (the UBR vampire hasty magpie from coldsnap). Just a suggestion.

so nobody's drafting friday night? Oh, i'm reentering the magic scene after a long hiatus and i was trying to get ready for states like everyone else. Wondering if anyone has bant charms, vivid lands, etc. for a toast deck.
