k so the short conclusion would be Reverse Trap works against Kalut but not Honest?

I may have to interject here. Reverse Trap only works against set values as printed on the text of the card that gives/subtracts ATK.

Axe of Despair: Equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. It is a set value as printed on the card, so under Reverse Trap the equipped monster will lose 1000 ATK.

Megamorph: Depending on the LP, it may half or double the equipped monster's ATK. The value of the gain/loss isn't a defined numerical value, so Reverse Trap would no effect.

The deal with Honest is that the ATK gain from it's effect is NOT a defined numerical value (as printed on the card). However, Kalut does have a defined numerical value as to the ATK gain given from it's effect.

Actually, Honest is a set value. The value is set on resolution.

Looks to be the case. Took me a little bit of searching to confirm the way Honest/Reverse Trap interact, but it seems that (based off a ruling on Metalmorph) Arnold's comments are correct. I apologize
