If this card is Special Summoned, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. You can Tribute 2 monsters to destroy all monsters your opponent controls. I didn't see a thread on this yet, so I thought I'd throw one up. Definitely in the realm of "beastly, but too difficult to pull off" at least imo. What's everyone else's think about this?

I am not sure that its worth it. It says it can't be targeted by trap, spell, and effect but target is the keyword. A good lightning vortex could take care of it since it doesn't target. If there is a way to put it into a lockdown, then obelisk might be worth it.

But you can't tribute the scapegoats for a tribute summon... right? Unless you're talking about it's effect, then yes, scapegoat would be nice.

neagted as in anything that says negate? bottomless doesnt negate the summon, it just destroys and removes it from play

Look at the second sentenced underlined which says that spell, traps, and monster effects can't be activated when it's normal summoned. I mean, I guess you can bottomless it if you opponent somehow special summons it.

For the record:

-It's a normal summon, therefore using Scapegoats for tributes is impossible.
-The summon cannot be negated in any way. Can't be Solemned or Forced Back.
-No spells, traps, or monster effects can be used in response to it's summoning. Therefore, Bottomless, Torrential, etc. cannot be used in response to Obelisk's summoning.
-Any spells, traps, or monster effects that target cannot be used against it. No Brain Control lucksack, Mind Control, PWWB, Gale, Murmillo, Gyzarus, Dimensional Prison, Brionic, or DAD.
-Card is weak against anything that doesn't target. Torrential another monster's summon, Lightning Vortex, Mirror Force, Honest, Kalut, Black Rose Dragon all laugh at Obelisk.

Man, an Obelisk that you can actually play is pretty sweet though. Do they have all three yet? I can't wait to see the other two. I can imagine it now. . .
