The Future of YGO?

Lately, a bunch of us YGO players have downloaded a video chat program called oovoo. using this, we have been dueling each other via web-cam. This worked out pretty well, even if you cant see the cards that well, announcing your moves is key.
Is this the future of YGO? and not just meeting up with someone at their house and recording duels, but actually playing at YOUR own house, streaming via web-cam and dueling. This is a good way to playtest your decks even though you cannot go out and meet someone. this allows for infinite access to duels, so long as there is someone willing to play.

Permalink Reply by chad on June 25, 2009 at 7:15pm: mac can support oovoo. if you use a laptop, like most of us, we usually tilt our screens that way the cam can view the field, usuall around a 45 degree angle

Permalink Reply by WhiteHowl on June 27, 2009 at 8:51am: Not really Chad. Remember GFaqs/Forum duels have been going on forever and this is just another way of playing this game. As well as the fact that there are probably 4 or 5 freeware card simulators running around on the internet.

Joke: If duel disks or D-Wheels are ever develop where you can play this game anywhere... then the way this game would be played would change.

not really, we would still be getting the cards from the game and spending money on cards that have an intangible form and using DP to buy intangible children's cards of a Children's Card Game; ▶ Reply to This
