Since the last major Magic tournament, there have been quite a few changes. Not only have the rules of the game been adjusted a bit (no more damage-on-the-stack, etc.), but the way tournaments are run and card interactions are handled have been modified also.

One of the Top 8, Trevor Johnson, is playing a seemingly innocuous collection of good Green & White Guys (he named the deck "The Short Bus"). It's concieveable that his main-deck Wilt-Leaf Lieges are pretty good against opposing Cruel Ultimatums.

Posting a bit late as it's busier than expected here. There are 31 players in today's event. The players are pretty excited about the event, especially the prize plaque. I won't be able to do a metagame breakdown until later, but I've seen tried-and-true as well as totally rogue decks so far, so there will something interesting for everyone to check out.
