The cut to the top 16 was implemented fairly recently (last 2-3 tournaments). It's great that their is an alternative for Saturdays now.

Magic Events Booming - Zendikar Tops Shards by 25%

The number of players participating in pre-release and release events for Magic: The Gathering was over 113,000 for the recent Zendikar release, 25% more than for Shards of Alara, the fall 2008 release. Zendikar also topped Lorwyn, the fall 2007 release, by 18%.

Magic: The Gathering, Zendikar was an exceptionally strong release, with vintage chase cards (see “M: TG: Zendikar has Vintage cards”) and riding momentum from the 2010 core set release (the first core set to include new cards).

So You Never Win Anything at a Tournament Saturdays at Da-Planet

We have heard the concerns from our player base that they don't have a chance to win stuff at the tournaments. So our Saturday Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments will NOT ONLY give a free Turbo Pack to the entrants BUT ALSO give away the prizes RANDOMLY during and at the end of the tournament.

Thus, Saturdays is going to be our Just for Fun day for those of you that don't want to fight for the Top 16 spot at Toylynx, and just want to hang out with friends and have a good time.

Sadly the time has come. The last few months have been extremely busy for me, with both work and family life, and has brought the realization to me that I cannot support the CCG Toolkit in good faith anymore. I love the Toolkit. I still see great things for it, should somebody see fit to carry on the torch. But for me it is time to move on to the next chapter.
