Magic Events Booming - Zendikar Tops Shards by 25%

The number of players participating in pre-release and release events for Magic: The Gathering was over 113,000 for the recent Zendikar release, 25% more than for Shards of Alara, the fall 2008 release. Zendikar also topped Lorwyn, the fall 2007 release, by 18%. MTG Magic the Gathering Changes/Clarifications and John Carter Leaves as Judge Coordinator

Changes/Clarifications: If a TO/judge plays in an event he/she is an official for (and allowed to play in under the Oct. 1 change), then... Section 1.4, on who can play; the line about "will have its K value set to 8" has been removed.
