Hey guys this will be my final installment of DJ CDisk’s Blog. It saddens me that I probably played my final yugioh games this weekend but had fun doing so, I hope you guys continue to get better and prove to the mainland that the best duelist comes from Hawaii! Today, I’m going to take a look back at my past and give you guys a little background of my 16 years of gaming (ha I’ve been gaming longer than you’ve been born Brandon Kinard!!!) and will give some elderly advice that may help you make…

Hey Everybody! Welcome to another installment of DJ CDisk Blog. First before I get onto my topic for this week, I would like to say that Organized Play in Hawaii is getting upgraded yet again to unthinkable heights. Congrats to Da-Planet on there move to Kapiolani Blvd. right across from Ala Moana Shopping Center. I had the chance to pass by opening day on Thursday and the place looks awesome. I can just see people at Regionals and PTQs using the Punching Bag game to “vent” off their frustration…

Hey Everybody! Get ready for another edition of DJ Cdisk’s Blog!
September 1st is a very important day for the yugioh world. The newly updated banlist for organized play will be in effect and several key cards from the past format will have to be put away in our binders. We’ll have fill in the holes or even start from scratch with a new deck (except for you lucky Lightsworn Players!). The new banlist will definitely change the meta and these are the top 5 big changes that you should be aware fo…

When you enter a big Yugioh Tournament like Regionals you tend to look out for the big players and hopefully you don’t get paired with them or they get paired with each other. The names of Albert Lee, Anthony Lauth, and Chris Ventura come to mind. But people better not look down (only literally) to this prodigy of yugioh and be prepared because he’s looking out for the win. At only 11 years old, he has already had 3 Top 8 finishes at Regionals and Upper Deck Day as well as Second only coming a t…

Hi everybody and welcome to another installment of DJ Cdisk’s Blog. Sorry I didn’t get to post up anything this past week, I was suppose to give you guys my very first player profile on someone here in Hawaii, but I was going through some family issues that took much of my time helping out my family as much as possible. So rather than post 1 Blog altogether, I decided to make 2 Blogs this week to give the player who I profiled their own well-deserved article on them.
I went to play yugioh last…

Hey Everybody! DJ CDisk is back with another blog to digest. I had a great time this weekend, even though I didn’t even play a single game of yugioh this week! My cousin had his wedding this past weekend (no not mine guys) and I was part of the whole festivities. I laughed, cried, and DJ’ed one awesome party; so awesome I basically slept the entire Sunday getting enough rest for work on Monday (I want a job where I don’t have to wake up @ 7:00 in the morning, maybe I can be a professional poker…

Thanks to everyone who commented on my very first yugioh blog/article, I really enjoyed everyone’s feedback and hope you guys like what I continue to bring to the Yugioh Community. As we flourish in number let us always remember our past, It may have seemed that I was giving Konami a lot of praise while giving Upper Deck the negative, but without Upper Deck’s well ran organized play and the hundreds of volunteers/workers for Upper Deck, Yugioh wouldn’t be where its at now (probably just another…

With the abrupt end to the License of Upper Deck in December 2008 to distribute the acclaimed card game Yu-gi-oh TCG, Thousands of Duelists from around the country was up in arms of the “state of the game” and where do we go from there. Many Duelists fell out of the game thinking their dueling days have come to an end, even here in Hawaii…
