Tonight's Magic: the Gatheing MEGA Box Sealed event is underway, and the turnout here is monstrous! A whopping 47 players came out tonight for a chance at winning an entire box of boosters, be it the one awarded to the first place finisher or the one awarded to one player selected at random at the end of the event. The number of players here dwarfs the turnout of recent major events like the PTQ's or Regionals. Tonight's event is, if I may borrow a phrase from an old friend, "soooo BIG!"

Magic, the Gathering Pro Tour: Honolulu is currently underway, and four players from Hawaii are right in the thick of things, fighting for the home team at the big show. Three of the players qualified through the local PTQ's: Andrew Graham, Dane J. Young, and James Kuwata, but one player earned his spot late last night (or early this morning, really) at the last chance qualifier, James Bishop.
