Here's an update on Felicia. It appears that it is weakening, however, hurricanes are unpredictable. Get your supplies ready, just in case...
As of 0500 HST (8 AM PDT) Friday 8/7, hurricane Felicia was located at 17.9 degrees north latitude, 135.6 degrees west longitude, about 1280 miles east of Hilo. Felicia is moving towards the west-northwest at about 13 mph and a gradual turn to the west is expected over the next couple of days. Felicia’s maximum sustained winds have decreased to 100 mph with higher gusts. Felicia is now a category two hurricane. Additional weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours. Felicia is forecast to weaken to a tropical storm on Saturday.
Felicia is expected to cross into the Central Pacific Saturday morning.
Tropical Storm Enrique is expected to dissipate sometime today.
