What's shakin' brother? Life in Korea is good man. I lead a very simple life out here in the countryside. Teaching English is a pretty good racket. No complaints there. On the weekends I take a train into Seoul to play Magic and in the coming weeks I'll actually be selling YuGiOh, WOWtcg, and some figurines on the military base where I play. Very excited that man.
What's up with you?
Hope this finds you well.

hey byron. this is jordan the doran boy. hopefully you get this by tomorrow. just a reminder for the garruks. thanks again and goodluck. see you tomorrow.
sup byron. howz it. i like your background rawking the old school stone rain. i use to play that card back in the day. you got any extended trades that you can bring next fri?
Thats true. But I think I'm going to run Tarfire main deck and have Magma Spray as a side. What else for side deck? I was thinking Volcanic Fallout and either Firespout/Pyroclasm. Possibly a Spiteful Visions IDK. LMK what you think about those choices. Also which is better: Pyroclasm or Infest?
Haha yeah. I wanted to know your opinion about running the Tar-fire main deck instead of the magma spray? Do you consider that better because it can trigger the Auntie's Hovel and it can target a creature or player or do you like the Magma Spray better because it removes creatures from play and wrecks creatures with persist like the Finks? Let me know what you think.
I too was ranked 1 in Hawaii silultaneously in Constructed, Limited, Composite, and 2HG. However, while rating can be a judge of skill, it is a poor one. While I didn't see Kris ever play, I know Dane is one of the best players Hawaii has ever seen, if not the best (Top 16 in a PT is hard to argue with). I've played against him several times, and he is the player I looked up to. While Dane was in Hawaii, my goal was to be "Better than Dane."
I don't play Magic at all anymore and hardly ever did after I moved here. I'm not trying to sway you, I just want to know where I stand in the discussion. I agree that Kris did win a lot in Hawaii and had/has my respect, but he never did anything on a higher level.
As far as the team tournament goes, Charles was supposed to be on hiatus from the game which is why we didn't practice together. If we had he obv would have played with Matt and I. I can't control my team's wins and losses in that format, though I think I went x-0 or x-1, winning the last round against Kimo's insane double arcanis deck, while my teammates managed to somehow lose with decks far superior to mine.
Not sure how. Since I won ptqs in Hawaii and none here, I would say I'm based in Hawaii and not Nevada.
If not for the flood in Valencia I would have made day 2 with a great day 2 deck for a pro tour, probably leading to a second money finish in a row. I also cashed a grand prix. Who else can claim that?

I will try to find some practice time soon.
